Okanagan Game Developers Association

Celebrating One Year of Game of the Month!

This month marks a full year of Game of the Month at the Okanagan Game Developers Association. Over the past twelve months we’ve played twelve incredible Canadian-made games, and had in-depth conversations about game development; from inspiration, to the impacts of design decisions, to audience and marketing, and even getting into the technical details, our Game of the Month events are one of the most fun ways to expand your digital game development knowledge.

Since October 2024, we’ve gathered on the first Wednesday of each month at Accelerate Okanagan to bring together local developers and developers-to-be to learn from a variety of unique projects. Together, we explore what works, what surprises us, and what lessons we can carry into our own creative work.

Best of all, participants get to choose what we play next! Every month’s attendees nominate and vote on the following game, ensuring the lineup reflects the interests of our growing community.

Here’s a look back at all twelve games we’ve played in our first year of Game of the Month.
