Frequently Asked Questions

This workshop is ideal for aspiring game developers, indie game creators, or anyone with a game idea struggling to articulate it concisely and professionally. If you want to create a clear, actionable document to share your vision, this workshop is for you.

No extensive prior experience is required. This workshop focuses on the conceptualization and documentation of a game idea. However, a basic understanding of game concepts might be beneficial.

A One-Page GDD is a concise, single-page document that summarizes the core concept, gameplay, target audience, and unique selling points of your game idea. It's a powerful tool for pitching, collaborating, and staying focused.

You should bring a rough draft of your One-Page GDD. This doesn't need to be perfect; it's simply a starting point for us to work on and refine during the workshop. Bringing a laptop or tablet for note-taking and revision is also recommended.

The workshop is a focused, intensive session designed to guide you through the creation of your one-pager. The full workshop will take place over one day or approximately one 4 hour session.

Our goal is for you to leave the workshop with a significantly refined and actionable One-Page GDD. While the exact level of completion depends on your starting point and engagement, you'll have the framework and guidance to create a professional document.

While having a rough idea is helpful, the workshop's structured approach can also help you solidify a nascent concept into a viable one-pager. We encourage attendees to come with at least a general genre or theme in mind.

We intentionally limit the number of participants to ensure personalized feedback and a more interactive learning environment. This allows the instructor to provide focused guidance to each attendee.

Attendees will receive a digital template for the One-Page GDD and have access to a private workshop alumni discord channel to discuss follow up questions and network with other attendees.
